Dracula, written by the Irish author Bram Stoker in 1897. We have chosen this novel because one of our main purposes is reading not only the "ancient" classics, but also the most "recent" ones. The novel tells the story of the famous vampire count Dracula and his attempt to move from Transylvania to England, and the battle between Dracula and a small group of men and women led by Professor Van Helsing. The novel treats the role of women in Victorian culture, sexual conventions, immigration, colonialism, and postcolonialism.

English Reading Club
12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8760 hours...If we want to conceptualize our time, it's quite noticeable that we feel that time is under our control if we use numbers than if we just think about the time as an abstract thing.
